Islamabad - A colourful event was held to mark Annual Parents Day here at primary branch of OPF Girls College.

All the students of grade-2 participated in the annual day. The background of the stage was decorated with a fairy tale theme and the children were wearing different colourful dresses. The audience gave a big applause as the curtains were pulled back.

The programme followed with the college anthem, a song of colours, festivals of Pakistan, professions, rhythmic and folk dances of Pakistan.

The Principal Shahina Masood in her speech presented the report of the achievements of the college in the past years in academic and co-curricular activities and also stressed upon the need of extra-curricular activities.

In the end the chief guest Managing Director Overseas Pakistanis Foundation Habibur Rehman Khan mentioned that OPF, in the last 30 years, had been engaged in providing quality education to children and had emerged as a bright and rising star in the galaxy of educational arena.

With 25 educational institutions spread throughout Pakistan and more than 17000 students, OPF educational system has achieved distinguished name due to extraordinary achievements in both curricular and co-curricular activities. With a cost of Rs 17 million, a magnificent building has been constructed in Satellite Town Rawalpindi, fully equipped with science and computer labs, auditorium and splashing lawns, he added.

The up-gradation of secondary schools of Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi to higher secondary level is another landmark on the road to success. Post graduate classes will be started in sector F-11 where the construction of a new building is under way. Degree classes are already in progress in this campus.
