ISLAMABAD- Political leaders of different parties met Afghan President Ashraf Ghani in Islamabad today and discussed the potential of cooperation between the two countries in different sectors.

The political leaders emphasized the need for people to people contacts and delegation level exchanges between the two countries, saying this will give impetus to bilateral relations.

Those who called on the Afghan president included Asfand Yaar Wali Khan, Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Sherry Rehman, Farhatullah Babar and Faisal Kareem Kundi. Earlier, during his discussion with President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday night.

The Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani expressed keen desire of the government and the people of Afghanistan to further strengthen bilateral relations with the people and government of Pakistan in all areas of mutual interest.
