RAWALPINDI - Computerised Arazi (land) Record Centres have been established in all tehsils of Punjab province, said the spokesman of Project Management Unit, Board of Revenue Punjab, while talking to media persons here on Friday. According to him, computerisation of land records has substantially been completed in 16 districts. He said that the statistics showed that the land record about 24000 revenue estates and 5.5 million land owners had been computerised. He said that state-of-the-art and spacious buildings had been constructed and qualified and trained staff had also been recruited on merit at the centres to facilitate people.

The spokesman further said that land ownership certificate was being issued in 30 minutes and the process of mutation was completed in just 50 minutes. “This project will be an important milestone towards economic development,” he added.
