PESHAWAR - Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amjad Ali Khan has said that the provincial government was taking concrete steps for the promotion of positive and healthy sports activities for youth. Speaking as a chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of 20th National Junior Table Tennis Championship at Qayyum Sports Complex, he said that to achieve this goal, sports stadiums were being established at all tehsil headquarters, with modern facilities for the players. Table tennis teams from KP, Islamabad, FATA, Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan will participate in the event. The chief guest said youth of the country were very talented. "However, there is a dire need to provide them better sports opportunities.” The chief guest also announced Rs 50,000 for KP Table Tennis Association.–Staff Reporter
