ISALAMABAD - Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on Tuesday submitted a call attention notice in the National Assembly Secretariat about more than 200 children got affected from poliovirus in less than one year. "Pakistan is facing international restrictions as a result of spread of this disease, so there is a need to take proper measures to control it," said a call attention notice submitted by PPP lawmakers Dr Azra Fazal, Dr Fehmida Mirza, Dr Mahreen Razzaq, Shahida Rehmani and Aijaz Jakhrani.

They said that increase in polio cases is a matter of grave concern, which needs to be properly addressed by concerned authorities. "We will like to invite the attention of Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination about resurgence of polio epidemic in the country at present," they added.
