LAHORE - Rafi Peer Theatre Workshop in collaboration with Lahore Arts Council will organise the 13th edition of Youth Performing Arts Festival from October 16 to October 19 at Alhamra Hall I, Hall II, Hall III (Punjabi Complex) and in open air.

Alina Peerzada, director of programmers and operations at RPTW, in a briefing on Tuesday evening at the Alhamra Cultural Complex explained how the festival would serve as a platform of learning and artistic growth.

“The festival has emerged as an important platform of learning and artistic growth, offering diversity and class. The festival promises to play a vital role in promoting underrated young art lovers. It is the only platform for the young artists to perform and compete at such a large and international level.  Students will be analysed by well-renowned judges in four categories.

On October 16, dance performances will be held. The participants include University of Central Punjab, Fusion Dance Company, Ultimate Generation Crew, LGS, Beaconhouse National University, Soul of Dance, Step Seven Group and Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts. On October 17, singing performances will be held and the participants include youth from LCAS, LGS, Beaconhouse National University, Sacred Heart Cathedral School, City School, Unique Group of Institutions, and Punjab Group of Colleges. On October 16 and 17, short films would be shown.
