ISLAMABAD - Sindh become the champion of the 19th National Boy's Age-Group Swimming Championship 2014 after collecting a staggering 40 gold medals in the event held at Adil Khan Swimming Pool Complex, Peshawar on Sunday.

Overall 41 events were conducted during the three-day event, in which newly crowned champions Sindh swimmers managed to set 17 new national records while Punjab boy Ismail Najeeb also sets a new national record on way to winning one and only gold for Punjab. Saad Amin of Sindh was the hero, as he set nine new records in U-16 category and won 14 gold's alone while his teammate Muneeb Shafiq set four new national records in U-12 and won 11 gold medals while Hamza Anwer also from Sindh in U-14 set new national record in one event and won six gold medals.

Sindh won 40 gold, 25 silver and 10 bronze medals with total of 1233 points. Punjab followed in the second spot with one gold, 11 silver and nine bronze medals with total of 335 points while KPK finished third with five silver and 22 bronze medals with total of 329 points while Gilgit/Baltistan failed to open their medal account.
