BAHAWALPUR - Artistes are the goodwill ambassadors and they can bring peace across the world as art has no boundaries and quality work and performers are equally welcomed and liked all over the world, said speakers at a function.

The function was jointly arranged by a local NGO,  Al-Sadiq Desert Welfare Organization, and a literary organization of Lahore, Bazm-e-Ahbab, in the honour of well-known Seraiki artiste Tahira Khan.

Former resident director of Bahawalpur Arts Council Nazir Khalid, eminent social, literary and political figure of the area including Malik Habibullah Bhutta, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed Madni, Sajid Hassan Durrani, Ejaz Ghouri, Imtiaz Hussain Lakhwera and Wajeeha Irfan addressed on the occasion and praise the organizers of the function. Familiar, Seraiki voices of the area, Dr.Saeed Ahmed and Riaz Bhutta performed on the stage and received a big hand from the audience while a number of folk singers enthralled the audience through songs. Many TV/radio artistes attended the function besides the literary figures of the area.

Organization Director Riaz Baloch in his address said that an all-out effort will be made for the promotion of art and culture.
