LARKANA – Scores of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Muhaz (JSQM) activists held protest and staged sit-in at Indus Highway, demanding the government to engage the United Nations for investigation into alleged murder of late party Chief Bashir Qureshi. On the occasion, the activists led by Comrade Ather Soomro, Muzzafar Sandano, Aziz Sheikh and others were carrying portraits of their party chief and shouting slogans against the present rulers. They accused that officials of health department are using delay tactics to hide the facts behind the incident. They blocked the main road for several hours and burnt tyres. They appealed to the UN to take notice of matter.Talking to the activists, Soomro said the sitting government is mishandling the incident; as no development has been made even after collecting samples from body of the JSQM chief. JSQM local leaders said heirs of Qureshi and workers have no faith in the rulers who are allegedly trying to change the samples and report of Bashir Khan Qureshi.Meanwhile, employees of Highways Department and members of Watan Dost Labour Employees Federation continued their protest and token hunger strike against the arrest of central leader Manzoor Aheer out side the Press Club. They said that the authorities concerned have arrested Manzoor in a fake and fabricated case. They further said that the present government has ignored the charter of demands of the employees and police, on behest of officials concerned, are victimising their leaders and forcing them to give up their demands. They demanded the high ups to take notice of matter and release their arrested leader.
