KARACHI  - Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad, taking notice of the water and power crisis in the metropolis, Saturday asked the authorities of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and the Water Board to sort out their matters on priority.

Presiding over a high level meeting, he warned that the government would not let any dispute between civic agencies obstruct the provision of facilities to the people.

The Governor said Karachi is the commercial hub of the country and if any dispute between institutions affects city’s situation, it would be tantamount to causing damage to the country.

Dr Ebad stressed the KESC to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to water supply installations. He also gave necessary instructions to the Water Board officials in this regard.

The Governor asked the authorities of the two institutions to get help of the Chief Secretary to resolve their matters.

The meeting was attended by federal ministers Dr Farooq Sattar and Dr Asim, Provincial Minister Sagher Ahmed, Chief Secretary Raja Muhammad Abbas, Adviser to Governor Dr Naushad Shaikh and heads of the KESC and the Water Board.
