KARACHI - Bus Owners Association of Karachi has demanded of the government to ensure immediate release of compensation amount for the buses set on fire during strike calls made in the city by different political groups.

President, Anjuman-e-Ittehad Bus Malkan Karachi Mohammad Ashraf Banglori in a statement on Sunday said some 60 buses had been torched in past one month and unfortunately no compensation has been announced for the loss of the concerned owners by the government.

“We hope that the government would be sympathetic enough to look into the issue and take concrete measures,” he said.

Banglori said the simay compel many of the owners to pull out their vehicles from the city roads and also wind up their business.
