PTBA ‘consulate forum’

LAHORE (PR): PakTurk Businessmen Association (PTBA) has organized a ‘consulate forum’ entitled “The role of the consulates in the development of trade, business and investment”. US counsel general Zach Harkenrider stated that America is willing to invest more in Pakistan economy, saying that our mutual relations are going on right way positively. Portugal honorary counsel General Firoz said that his country gives much importance to its mutual relations with Pakistan. Uganda counsel Awais Rouf said that Africa is a virgin market for Pakistani products and exports. Chairman PTBA Shair Rasheed shared the successes of the Association.

ACCA, Punjab Beverages Co host event

LAHORE (PR): ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and a franchise of PEPSI International, Punjab Beverages Company Private Limited hosted a corporate dinner, bringing together senior accounting and finance professionals in Faisalabad.

The corporate dinner was held to enlighten the prestigious employers about the career development plans of ACCA for the students and members and its efforts in developing the finance profession in Pakistan by nurturing the best talent. The attendees included the President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce, Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz and the ‘C’ suite executives from prominent local organizations.

The corporate dinner was marked by the addition of 6 Approved Employers and the recognition of 2 Work Place Mentors. The keynote speaker Atiq-Ur-Rehman, COO Punjab Beverages Pvt. Ltd. shared his experience about working with professional accountants and the importance of the role of these accountants in shaping the future of different organisations. He appreciated the initiatives taken by ACCA Pakistan in terms of developing the profession in the region.

Huawei at ONS 2016

LAHORE (PR): The master technology manufacturer and solutions provider, Huawei has marked 2015 as the year of Huawei. Similarly, this year, even with the very beginning Huawei has achieved astonishing growths targets and popularity in the consumer market and at the events of competitions or awards. Recently, Huawei impressed the judges at the OSN 2016.

Huawei has been awarded with the SDN Idol award in recognition of Huawei’s new Open Network Operating System-based transport software. The said event was enlightened by the Huawei ONOS-based transport super controller using ONF T-API standard interference model to deliver the best results of end to end transport topology.

Importance of skilled youth highlighted

ISLAMABAD (PR): The skilled youth programmes play significant role in the growth of national economies especially in the under developed countries like Pakistan. The institutions imparting training to this important segment of society like Directorate of Workers Education (DWE) need to accelerate the pace of their activities in this regard.

This was stated by Salman Qayum Khan, the Joint Secretary (Admin) Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD), while concluding the certificates awarding ceremony of workshops on the topics of occupational safety & health and effective time management.

Director General DWE highlighted the ongoing training programmes admiring the patronage of state Minister for CA&DD Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary and the Secretary CA&DD Hassan Iqbal.

Gold medal awarded

ISLAMABAD (PR): Bashal Khalil, brother of UC Bhalkar chairman Raja Talal Khalil, graduated with 5 merits from Roots Ivy University. He won the gold medal in a great display of educational prowess. In the recently held graduation ceremony, Raja Bashal Khalil was awarded the gold medal by Senator ChaudaryTanvir whereas Chief Executive Roots Madam Khadija awarded him with the degree. On this occasion, Raja Bashal Khalil said that this award is the result of his parents’ prayers and the hard work of his teachers. He said that he will continue to work hard in the future to bring honor to his country and family. UC Bhalkar chairman Raja Talal also expressed joy and satisfaction on the success of his brother.
