LAHORE - Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Yousaf Aujla on Tuesday reserved the verdict till tomorrow on a petition seeking suspension of the magisterial courts order against Moonis Elahi in the NICL scam. On Tuesday, Moonis counsel Aamir Saeed contended that the FIA misguided the court to get arrest warrants for Moonis on January 28. He said that the FIA summoned Moonis to appear in the investigation and a representative of Moonis submitted a written reply to the FIA on January 27 wherein it was stated that the PML-Q leader was abroad and would join the probe within seven days, but the FIA got arrest warrants the very next day in violation of law. The counsel pointed out that since the FIA had obtained arrest warrants by misguiding the magisterial court, subsequent proceedings of declaring Moonis as PO be declared null and void.
