ISLAMABAD (APP) - Pakistan Vegetable Oil Mills Association (PVOMA) and Pakistan Edible Oil Refineries Association (PEORA) have voluntarily decided to reduce the prices of edible oil and ghee by 3 percent, a private TV channel reports. The private TV channel quoting a meeting of PVOMA and PEORA reported that the prices of all brands ghee and edible oil have been reduced by Rs 5 per kg. The channel further reported that the international prices of palm oil have registered remarkable reduction and the benefits are being passed on to the consumers. According to government rates the current price of edible oil and ghee are Rs 88 per kg. While Utility Stores Corporation was selling the commodity at Rs 85 per kg.
