PML(N) chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that he will root out the remains of dictatorship even if in exchange he has to pay a cost of being ineligible. Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Friday, he announced that PML-N would fully participate in the lawyers' long march. He said that repeal of 17th amendment is the first clause in Charter of Democracy (CoD). "PM Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has also assured us to abolish the controversial 17th amendment," Sharif added. "If present rulers were also betrayed by the dictatorship, than why had they not eradicated the remains of former president Musharraf," he questioned. He further said those people cannot take decisions about his eligibility who themselves have violated the constitution. PML-N chief announced to participate in the lawyers' long march and vowed to continue his support till its logical end.
