ISLAMABAD (INP) - Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has reiterated his governments resolve to continue with fight against militants, saying the government will leave no stone unturned to stamp out the scourge. The enlightened leadership of the country has been targeted by the militants, said the prime minister while talking to PML-Q leader Amir Muqam, who called on him at the PMs House on Friday. He said killing the leadership, which urged restraints, showed the agenda of the terrorists who were against the development and progress of the country. Gilani expressed his sympathies with Muqam on the loss of innocent lives in the suicide attack before of his address. He appreciated the political leadership of the country for their steadfastness against the anti-state elements. He lauded Muqam for his continued efforts for the welfare of the people of Kohistan and other remote regions of the province despite several threats from the militants. He assured Muqam of his governments full support and provision of security. The overall development schemes initiated in the remote regions of KP by the government were discussed in the meeting. Muqam thanked Gilani for his interest in development of the remote and under-developed areas.
