MULTAN-Ulema condemned Indian atrocities in their Juma sermons and passed condemnation resolutions against India while religious parties took out rallies to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren in their justice struggle for freedom from the Indian yoke on Friday.

The activists of Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) staged a protest against Indian terrorism in occupied Kashmir here on Friday. The JuD activists brought out a rally and marched up to Chowk Kachehri from Chungi No-7 besides offering funeral in absentia (ghaibana namaz-e-janaza) of the martyrs of Kashmir.

Holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-India slogans, the JuD workers marched on city roads under the leadership of JuD central leader Maulana Ameer Hamza. They carried out non-stop sloganeering against India and burnt her flags at the end of the demo.

Speaking on the occasion, Maulana Ameer Hamza, JUP leader Ayub Mughal, Mian Sohail Ahmad, Hamza Shahid Lodhi and others said that India set new records of barbarianism as her soldiers attacked hospitals and used very dangerous weapons to kill and injure maximum number of people. They pointed out that entire Hurriyat leadership has been imprisoned by the occupation forces while Kashmiri youth were being killed in fake encounters and attacks on the funeral processions of martyrs.

They said that Burhan Wani was not a terrorist rather he highlighted the case of Kashmiris before the world. They added that Mr Wani unveiled atrocities, tyranny and oppression of Indian occupation forces. The lamented that the world had no other example of oppression like Indian forces killed innocent unarmed Kashmiris.

They lauded the statement of Army Chief on Kashmir and asked the government to raise this issue on the platform of OIC and UN Security Council. They stressed upon Pakistani media to play its role for awakening the world on Kashmir issue. They said that despite Indian oppression thousands of Kashmiris took to the roads and joined the funeral procession of Wani which was proof of the fact that he laid down his life but gave a new soul to Kashmir liberation movement. They said that on one hand Kashmiris looked determined to sacrifice everything while on the other side Pakistan, who is advocate of this case, failed to play an effective role. They said that the Kashmiris had given a clear message to the world that they would not accept anything except liberation.

They strongly criticised the so-called flag bearers of human rights and said that the Kashmiris were being brutally murdered by Indian occupation forces but they kept mum on this genocide. They said that the USA also declined to condemn Indian terrorism. They pledged to support Kashmir liberation movement.
