PETITION FOR SECURITY: A writ petition was filed before the LHC yesterday for provision of foolproof security to sitting and former judges and their families.

Abdullah Malik, President of Civil Society Network, filed the petition through Advocate Azhar Siddique and submitted that without fearless judges a society and nation cannot survive.

The petitioner said that judges and their families had not been provided proper security. He said they are custodian of justice and if they were not safe then how they could deliver justice. He prayed the court to order the Punjab government to provide foolproof security to the judges and their families.
