rawalpindi - Civil Line police arrested seven proclaimed offenders for their alleged involvement in the murder of a man and injuring four others during a clash over purchase of cattle in a slaughterhouse located at Lal Kurti.

The police produced the proclaimed offenders before the court of area magistrate and obtained their physical remand, informed Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Qaisar Riaz yesterday.

The proclaimed offenders apprehended by police were identified as Ishtiaq Ahmed, Ali Aksar, Tanveer Khan, Arif Khan, Shehbaz Khan, Naqash and Shahid Khan, he added.

According to him, Station House Officer Chaudhry Rafique formed a special team tasking it to nab the proclaimed offenders involved in the murder case that took place on 13/12/2015 in a slaughterhouse at Lal Kurti.

He said that the police team carried out raids in Dhamial, Hayyal, Haripur and Abbotabad and managed to round up the proclaimed offenders and shifted them to police station.

A citizen Abdul Razzaq lodged a complaint with PS Civil Line on 13/12/2015 that his son Ikhlaq Kiyani along with Masood Pervaiz and Muhammad Hasnat went to the slaughterhouse where they clashed with Arif Khan, Kuku and Ansar over deal of cattle. Later, Arif Khan invited them to the slaughterhouse for settling the dispute. He said as they reached there, Arif along with 10 to 15 men equipped with pistols and sticks attacked them and started firing at them. As a result, Ikhlaq Kiyani was killed on the spot while Muhammad Akram, Jabar Khan, Muhammad Siddique and Muhammad Hasnat sustained bullet injuries.
