LAHORE - Punjab, an ideal location for investment, offers most lucrative and low-risk opportunities to investors, especially in the fields of energy, agriculture, livestock and dairy development, mines and minerals, tourism and infrastructure.

Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti stated this during a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador in UAE Asif Durrani in Dubai.

Bhatti said that the Punjab government is offering a pro-business environment and a positive policy framework to generate foreign and domestic investment. Highlighting investment opportunities in Punjab, the OPC Commissioner said that Overseas Pakistanis living in Dubai should invest in various sectors in Punjab and the provincial government would provide complete protection to their investment. He said that Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab is a part of the efforts to bring foreign investments in Punjab.

Bhatti said that on the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, complete technical assistance is being provided to investors to set up new projects in the province. He informed that OPC is playing an active role to resolve problems being faced by the Overseas Pakistanis related to government agencies, adding that issues of Overseas Pakistanis living in Dubai would also be addressed on priority basis.

Deputy Head of mission Dr Faisal Aziz, OPC District Nankana Sahib Chairman Ch Muhammad Shafi, Senior vice president PML-N Abu Dhabi Ch Anwar and office bearers Amjad Javed, Malik Mehbub Rabbani and Farruk Warriach were also present on the occasion.
