SIALKOT-Three young girls were kidnapped while bodies of two girls were found in a canal and a nullah in separate incidents here on Friday.

Some unknown perpetrators kidnapped "K" at gunpoint from her house in village Sundarpur Bidar. In village Gopipur-Satrah, unknown accused kidnapped "R" at gunpoint from her house.

Armed men kidnapped "N" from her house in Sambrial city's congested Muhallah Wada Bagh locality. Police have registered separate cases with no arrest or recovery.

On the other side, the dead body of drowned girl Sonia (16) was found from Bambaanwala-Ravi-Baidian (BRB) Canal Daska near Chhaangi Jhaal village, about 55km from Daska city after five days of drowning.

However, the body of her younger sister Mafia (14) was still to be found. Daska city based two young sisters Sonia and Mafia had drowned in BRB Canal Daska while bathing there on July 10, 2016 in Daska city here.

The local people also found a dead body of 45 years old unknown woman beyond recognition in Nullah Aik near village Gunjiyaanwali-Uggoki. Police said that some unknown accused brutally tortured and later killed her. Accused threw her dead body there n the Nullah to conceal their sin. Rescue 1122 divers fished out body and handed it over to local police.

GRANT RELEASED: The Punjab government has released a special grant of Rs378 million for giving month-long training of veterinary health services to the youth with matric qualification enabling them to do medical treatment of the cattle in the rural areas.

Livestock and Dairy Development Director Ghulam Muhammad Gill said that the training would be given to matric pass youth at the veterinary health dispensaries. After the training, the youth would be given jobs here with Rs5,000 monthly. He said that the training would help the youths give veterinary treatment to cattle at local level in the rural area. The training programme would start from August 2016, he added.
