QUETTA - Two tankers carrying fuel for US-led coalition forces stationed in Afghanistan were set ablaze and a driver sustained injuries when unidentified armed men opened fire on the vehicles in Bolan district of Balochistan on Wednesday. Officials, confirming the incident, said the tankers heading towards Kandahar from Karachi were passing from Kambari Bridge of Bolan district on National Highway when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on them. As a result, a driver received injuries. The attackers later disembarked drivers and cleaners and set vehicles on fire before escaping from the site. Resultantly, both vehicles were gutted and thousands of litres of fuel spilled over the ground and wasted away. On getting information local law enforcement agencies rushed to the site and shifted the injured to nearby hospital for treatment. A case has been registered against unidentified people, however, no arrest has been made so far.
