ISLAMABAD (APP) - Another attempt by the Somali pirates to hijack recently-freed ship has been foiled on Wednesday. Talking to a private TV news channel, social activist Ansar Burney said that a group of pirates attacked Capt Wasis ship at 8:00am Wednesday morning. However, after a two-hour exchange of fire their attempt to hijack the ship had been foiled. He informed that Capt Wasi and his crew remained unharmed during the attack and the ship is heading towards a safer region. He also appealed to the nation to pray for safe return of the recently-released captives. Four Pakistanis and 18 other people are on board the ship. The four Pakistanis included Capt Wasi, engineer Sayed Alam, diesel mechanic Muzammil and a resident of Swat, Ali Rehan.
