OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Stags Club beat Cricket Centre Club by five wickets in the first semi-final of the 4th Nazar Memorial Cricket Tournament played here at LCCA ground on Wednesday. Cricket Centre made 229 runs with Shoaib Malik scoring impressive 80 runs. Umar Akmal (49) and Ali Haider (26) played well. Sohail Tanveer got three wickets .Hassan and Ammad Ali took two wickets each. In reply, Stags Club achieved the target for the loss of five wickets. Abid Ali (60), Nadeem Javed (51), Ayaz Tassawar (54) and Nadeem Iqbal (44*) batted well. For Cricket Centre, Shoaib Malik and M Talha took two wickets each. Chief organiser of the tournament Mubashar Nazar and secretary Ch Zaheer were also present. The second semi-final will be played between Model Town Cricket Club and Shining Club here at the same ground on Thursday (today).
