ISLAMABAD - Federal government on Wednesday transferred Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani as IGP Sindh, however, the new expected IGP Islamabad could be Rao Amin Hashim presently IGP Balochistan, reliable sources informed The Nation. Sources said that soon after the removal of Fayyaz Leghari as IGP Sindh, the IGP Islamabad who is said to have close links with President Asif Ali Zardari approached the Presidency. He got green signal by countries top offices and then on Wednesday formally his transferred was announced, sources said. Three names for the post of IGP Islamabad are under consideration including Rao Ameen Hashim IGP Balochistan, Waseem Kausar served as IGP Motorway and presently in Research Division and sitting DIG Operations Islamabad Binyameen. However, sources confirmed that expected IGP of Islamabad could be Rao Amin Hashim who is said to be very strong candidate for the post, sources said. Sitting DIG Operations Islamabad has started running from pillar to post to grab the vacant position of IGP.
