Karachi - English Biscuit Employees Union (EBEU) demanded to implement the labour laws according to the order of Prime Minster Yousaf Raza Gillani and urged for the restoration of labours union, the labors were staging protest agitation on Thursday. The score of labourers of the company located in Korangi area of the metropolitan staged protest demonstration outside of Karachi Press Club, where they chanted slogans for fulfil their demands, they also carrying banners and placard in which the slogans inscribed of their demands. President of EBEU Fayyaz Khan and other officer bearers Ansar Ahmed, Tehseen Fatima, Asif Akhtar and others were addressing on the occasion. They appreciated the decision for lifting ban on the labour unions and to increase the wages of the employees by the newly elected Prime Minister while they expressed concerns over not implanting the decisions of the PM. They said that the labours, who have been deprived of the basic facilities and are still working in the same wages for long time as despite passing several years the management did not increase the wages, they alleged that the management of the company is not allowing the union activities. They appealed to the higher ups of the government to take action on this regard to provide relief to the labours.
