JACOBABAD - Two more persons, who had been injured in a deadly clash between two groups of Thaheem and Qambrani communities at village Abdul Majeed Shah over a piece of agricultural land, succumbed to their injuries at Chandka Medical College Hospital [CMCH], Larkana on Saturday. 

According to SHO Mauladad, Agha Arslah Pathan, a few unidentified armed men had attacked members of Thaheem community with automatic weapons, resulting in the instant death of three persons, identified as Haq Nawaz Thaeem, 50, Raja Ali Thaeem, 20, and Washiloo Qambrani, while the four injured were referred to CMCH for treatment after the provision of first aid at DHQ Jacobabad.

There the two injured identified as Shaman Thaeem and Sikandar Thaheem succumbed to their injuries, whereas the two other injured, Ms Janul Khatoon and Faiz Muhammad Thaheem, are out of danger and are still under treatment.  The bodies have been handed over to the heirs after conducting post-mortem at DHQ Jacobabad. “The death toll has now reached five,” said the SHO.

“The bone of contention is said to be a piece of agricultural land, which had been purchased by Thaheem community from Syed community,” sources added.

Police have detained more than two dozen persons, including women of Qambrani, Thaheem and Syed communities for interrogation.
