PESHAWAR: As many as five security personnel were wounded in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast near Bilal Masjid, Kuz Chamarkand area, Tehsil Safi, Mohmand Agency , a security official confirmed.

According to the official, the five Frontier Corps personnel were on routine patrolling in the area and when they reached near Bilal Masjid, Kuz Chamarkand area, Tehsil Safi, Mohmand Agency an explosion took place, injuring them on the spot.

Soon after the blast, other officials of the security forces rushed on the spot and shifted the injured soldiers to Agency Headquarter Hospital Ghalanai, Mohmand Agency .

The injured soldiers were identified as Qaiser Hayat of Utman Khail tribe, Akbar Ullah, Asad of Mualagori tribe, Sada Muhammad of Diri Khail, and Noorzeb of Utman Khaila.
