LAHORE- A newborn baby died shortly after the ‘medical practitioner’ allegedly administered him a wrong injection at a private clinic here in the Defence-A police area, informed a police officer on Monday.

Resident of Chungi Amarsidhu, Muhammad Babar, told the police that his newly-born son, Ali Babar, died shortly after the doctors administered him a wrong injection. The doctors and paramedics managed to escape from the clinic following the death of the boy. The police have registered a case and are investigating. 

Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man who was admitted to a local hospital succumbed to his serious burn injuries. Resident of Nankana district, Sana Ullah, was electrocuted while removing the transformer. He was rushed to a local hospital, where died. The police are investigating.

shot dead: A mother of two was found shot dead at her residence situated in Nawab Town area, police said on Monday.

Takmeela Bibi, 30, was lying dead in a pool of blood in front of her bedroom as her children came back from the school and entered the house (19-E Block Johar Town) situated in Nawab Town police area on Monday afternoon.

The frightened kids made hue and cry and called the neighbours for help. The local residents gathered outside the house and contacted the police by phone. Police said that the deceased was residing with her two children at the house while her husband had been working abroad.
