SARGODHA - Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the country could not be transformed into a true welfare state until and unless the condition of the common man changed for better. He pointed out that institutional confrontation occurred when institutions made their objective to bring and out someone into power.

JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed the views while addressing the participants of Islam Zindabad Conference here at Eidgah ground the other night. Maulana Fazl said that there was no justification for the restoration of Nato supplies and if the government restored it his party with the support of patriotic forces would halt it with the force of hands.

He claimed that the entire nation was paying through the nose for 2001 treaty of Gen (r) Musharraf. Maulana Fazl argued that the JUI-F was not against trade with India but it deemed resolution to water crisis and Kashmir issue was necessary before free trade with “erstwhile rival.”

The government should take into confidence all political parties over the issue and make a consensus decision keeping the national prestige and interest superior.

The JUI-F chief pointed out that America did not want peace and tranquillity in Pakistan, adding that anti-Islamic forces were struggling hard against Islamic seminaries.
