LAHORE - PML-N Central Secretary Information Mushahidullah Khan demanded the federal rulers to account for 29.2 percent increase in the local and foreign loans made during the current year and asked them to bring the matter to the Parliament.

He stated on Monday that his party would take the issue in the National Assembly as people wanted account of trillions of rupees looted from the national treasury. He said that despite receiving billions of rupees under the head of circular debts the government was pursuing increase in tariff rates every successive week.

The PML-N leader said that the situation had reached an alarming situation and only 10-point agenda presented by the party could resolve problems of the masses. He said if no mechanism for fixing power tariff came through the Parliamentary then apprehensions loomed large that inflation would reach an alarming point. He said that the announcement made earlier by the PM for forming a parliamentary committee to control prices of petroleum and electricity had not been implemented and once again the nation was befooled by the PPP leaders.
