PESHAWAR - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Vice Chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Monday that the government should apprise the nation of conditions that the US accepted and, resultantly, it was going to restore the Nato supplies via Pakistan.

The government should tell the nation that did the United States accept the demands set by the parliamentary committee, he said while addressing a press conference at the residence of Iftikhar Khan Jhagra, PTI’s provincial leader.

“According to my information, none of the demands have been accepted,” he stated. He observed that corruption and worsening law and order situation affected every sector of the country. The country is at the verge of economic collapse while the rulers have no time to address the challenges, he said, adding that they were merely busy earning money for themselves.

Flanked by Jehangir Tareen and Asad Qaiser, Shah Mehmood Quershi said the world took serious note of Bannu jailbreak incident, as known criminals ran away from the prison. “Bannu incident has once again exposed the government and it seemed that there is no writ of the government,” he said. Regarding the case against the prime minister’s son, the PTI leader said the prime minister should clarify his position on the charges of involvement of his son in the case. About the party’s internal affairs, he said the party after making amendments to its constitution divided the provinces in different regions and formed regional committees as per directives of the chairman.

The party appointed Iftikhar Khan Jahgra as president Peshawar region, Yousaf Ayub for Hazara region, Prof Sher Afghan Kaka Malakand region and Hamayun Khan for southern region. He said PTI would get strengthened further.

He asked the workers to disseminate the party’s message to the whole nation.

He said the day was not far away when there would be PTI in power, adding that PTI Chairman Imran Khan had a programme to pull the country out of the current crises. He said his party would put the country on the right track leading to progress and development.
