Islamabad - Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek has said that the government always tried its best for reconciliation and it does not want confrontation among the institutions. He was talking to media persons outside the Supreme Court on Thursday after the hearing of a case regarding Federal govt’s review petition against the July 12th order in connection with the NRO implementation case.

Naek lauded the SC for hearing him appropriately and sufficiently.

However, he was of the opinion that a 7-member bench cannot override the verdict delivered by a full-court bench i.e. 17-strong bench.

“We will have to sit together to give positive musing to the national interest,” Naek remarked, adding, the government will hold consultations over Prime Minister’s appearance before the court on August 27th.

To a question, he said that all powers are vested in Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in accordance with the NAB Ordinance.

Responding to yet another query regarding the future line of action in the NRO implementation case, he said: “my appearance before the court signals that the government takes the issue seriously.”
