HAFIZABAD -Position holders in the BA Examination were given a warm welcome by the citizens when they arrived here on the invitation of Hafizabad Press Club for an Iftar dinner.

A large number of youth danced on drumbeats and garlanded Muhammad Mohsin Ali, the topper, for raising the image of the area by breaking all previous records in the B.A Examination by getting 688 marks. Speakers at the function congratulated Mohsin Ali, Hafiza Muqaddas Shahbaz, who got third position by obtaining 661 marks, and Gulnaz Ali Hassan, who got 4th position by securing 659 marks. 

The dinner was sponsored by Haji Shafqat Hussain Tarar, the additional secretary of the Press Club, and a local businessman. The function was attended by a large number of journalists, businessmen, MNA Saira Afzal Tarar, MPA Assadullah Arain, DCO Muhammad Asif and educationists. On the occasion, Mohsin thanked the office-bearers and members of the club for according him warm welcome.

Later, talking to this scribe, he said that he was born in poverty-stricken family on January 14, 1991 in Mian Raheeman. being eldest son among 11 siblings, all responsibilities were on his shoulder, hence he migrated to Lahore where he got a rented house in Islampura and started running a ‘Tandoor’ and also continued his studies.

He particularly thanked the Punjab chief minister for providing all sorts of assistance and set a noble gesture for providing assistance to the talented and poor youth.

PO gOt released: Armed accomplices of a notorious proclaimed offender identified as Rai Muhammad Zaman got freed him from the custody of the police here in village Kassessay the other day. According to details, former Kassessay UC nazim and PPP worker Muhammad Zaman was wanted by the police in numerous cases. The Pindi Bhattian Police came to know about his presence in the village the other day. Meanwhile, the police raided the village and succeeded in arresting the PO. However, later his accomplices resorted to firing on the police personnel and got the accused freed from the police custody.  After getting information, a heavy contingent of police rushed to there and besieged the village. Although the police started search operation for the arrest of the accused, no arrest could be made so far.
