LAHORE - The Commission for Compulsory Free Education (CCFE) Committee for Consultation with Stakeholders and Public Hearing of the Article 25-A met on Thursday at the Children Library Complex with Justice (r) Khalilur Rehman Khan in the chair.

Talking to the media, Rehman said after the 18th Amendment, the Punjab government had formed a 20-member commission to come up with a proposed law for implementation of the article 25-A of the constitution that reads: “The state will provide free and compulsory education to all children (from 5 to 16) in such a manner as may be determined by law.”

He said after the consultation with all stakeholders, the commission would represent its report to the chief minister.
