LAHORE - Provincial minister Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman has said that federal government has absolutely failed to provide any relief to the ailing trade and industry, as the country is facing severe energy crisis but no concrete measures were announced to overcome the issue.

Addressing the Iftar dinner hosted by the Anjuman-e-Tajiran Landa Bazar Board here on Thursday, he said that no pragmatic steps have been announced by the federal government to create job opportunities and provide relief to the masses who are severely hit by the price-hike while the overall debt burden on Pakistan has almost doubled in last four years due to mismanagement of the present rulers. All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajiran general secretary Naeem Mir, addressing the meeting, urged all political parties to come up with some solid master plan for debt retiring, revival of economy and solution of energy crisis instead of blame game.

He appealed the politicians to talk of the real issues to continue the process of democracy, urging political parties to also promote democratic norms within the parties. Other trade leaders raised their concern over the growing incidents of dacoities in the city.
