LAHORE – Minhajul Quran chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has announced to offer a practical solution to the country’s pressing problems at Minar-e-Pakistan Ground on November 4.

Addressing a large gathering at spiritual congregation held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International to mark ‘Lailatul-Qadr’, he said that protection of country’s sovereignty, restoration of national institutions, constitution and smile on the faces of the poor and less privileged sections of society figured prominently on his agenda.

Dr Tahirul Qadri said if the nation so wished, the November 4 would prove to be a seminal point for revolution in the country, leading to a way out of multiple challenges the country was confronted with. He said that the day would be marked by a renewed emphasis on national sovereignty, progress and prosperity and real independence.

He said democracy was a system, which allowed a select group of privileged elite to increase their perks and privileges to the detriment of collective interests of 98% of people. For last fifty years, a big fraud was played with the people of Pakistan in the name of democracy. If the current electoral system was not changed, even the conduct of hundreds of elections would fail to produce any tangible solution and a capable leadership to steer the ship of this state.

Qadri said politics and elections in Pakistan were two sides of the same coin, which were a deceit and a fraud.

He said that the nation needed to rise up and protect their sovereignty as the country’s independence was being sold.
