SIALKOT - Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has said that the international community could never ignore the sacrifices rendered by of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir for the freedom from the Indian yoke. He said that sacrifices offered by thousands of Kashmiri people would yield as the sun of freedom would rise in Kashmir soon.

He stated this while addressing the participants of an Iftar dinner held in his honour at village Rukanabad, Pasrur tehsil here on Thursday. Several AJK ministers and local PPP leaders were also present on the occasion. Former AJK prime minister Barrister Sultan Mehmood, State Minister Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, Ch Maqbool Ahmed, PPP District Sialkot President Malik Tahir Akhtar Awan and PPP Provincial Information Secretary Barrister Raja Aamir Khanwere also present on the occasion.

The AJK PM added that the people of Kashmir were demanding their birth right to self-determination. He expressed complete solidarity with the innocent and oppressed people of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He also expressed grave concern over the larger scale rising human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of innocent Kashmiri people by the Occupant Indian Army in the Held Valley.

He revealed that these nasty practices were enough to shake the conscience of the international community. He also urged the world community to use its influence to pressurize India for halting larger scale human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of the oppressed Kashmiri.

Ch Abdul Majeed also urged the UN to ensure early implementation of its prolonged promised resolutions for the amicable solution of the Kashmir dispute according to the aspirations of Kashmiri people.

He said that early peaceful solution of Kashmir dispute had now become vital for ensuring sustainable peace in the sub-continent.

The AJK PM said that the protection of rights of Kashmiri people was the top priority of the government which had been making sincere efforts for the purpose. He said that the people of Kashmir should be given their right to self-determination because it was guaranteed by the United Nations resolution and it is their birth right.

Later, talking to the newsmen there, the AJK PM said that Pakistan’s political and economical stability could boost the Kashmir cause in the international community, saying that the PPP had always advocated Kashmir cause much effectively in the world. He said that the PPP government was internationalizing the Kashmir cause.

Ch Abdul Majeed accused the army dictators of allegedly putting the Kashmir issue in the cold storage. He said that Kashmiri people were with the people of Pakistan and they would not allow anyone to cast evil eyes on Pakistan.

He added that the PPP was promoting the politics of reconciliation in the country as its leadership believed in dialogue and politics of reconciliation and invited major political parties for dialogues for steering the country out of crises. Some Political jugglers were trying to show their muscles for their personal gains but the backdoors to power had been closed.

He said that the PPP would get majority in the coming general elections.

He urged all the main stream political parties in Pakistan to be united and shun their political differences for the political and economical stability of the country which was vital for strengthening Kashmir cause globally.

Later, he handed over a cheque of Rs1 million as special grant to Chairman Sialkot Press Club Humayun Iqbal Malik.
