SAHIWAL - Former President Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Azmat Saleem has expressed great concern over the prevailing energy crisis. He said, because of energy crises, only in Sahiwal region more than 10,000 industrial workers have become unemployed. He demanded of the federal government that supply of Sui gas and electricity be made possible on preferential basis so that export orders worth millions of rupees could be fulfilled on time. He said that because of energy crises industrialists have been forced to close their industry. He was addressing a press conference here at Sahiwal Chamber. Vice President of Chamber Sh Muhammad Ikram and Executive Committee members Sh Shahid Hameed, KM Khan, Sh Hameed Raza were also present on the occasion. Answering a question, Sh Azmat Saleem said that because of Sahiwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry efforts Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has provided 35 acres of land for establishment of another industrial state in Sahiwal because of which industrialisation in Sahiwal will be mobilised and it will generate chances of employment for thousands.
