LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman has said that Regulatory Authority is being set up for controlling the fees of private schools for which legislation will soon be made. Addressing the inaugural function of Victory School System Ghaziabad on Sunday, he said that all schools of the province were being made English medium from next educational year. He said that the poor children would get education at par with Aitchison in Daanish Schools which will not only remove the deprivations from the society but the country would be put on the road to progress and prosperity. Shuja further said that the CM Punjab had made promotion of education a top priority and all possible steps were being taken for provision of modern education and enhancing the standard of government educational institutions. He said that the previous government spent huge amounts on personal publicity instead of giving practical shape to the project of Parha Likha Punjab whereas present Punjab government was spending more than 60 percent budget on education as compared to the previous government for the last three years. He said that a planning was being made in the province for improving the education according to the demands of 21st century. He said that setting up modern computer lab and other educational facilities in thousand schools had been provided in the province. He said that teachers were recruited purely on merit and were imparted modern training. MNA Mian Marghoob Ahmad and MPA Allah Rakha also addressed the function. They thanked the administration of the Victory School System for providing education to the children of the area on low fees.
