LAHORE - Punjab Minister for Law and Local Government Rana Sanaullah Khan has blamed Pervaiz Elahi for leaving majority of the development projects incomplete during his tenure as Punjab chief minister.

Commenting on the statement of former Punjab chief minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi, the law minster on Thursday said Pervaiz Elahi was accusing the PML-N government out of frustration as the people rejected his Q-League in the last general elections while endorsing the policies and performance of the last N-government in the province. Sana recalled the IT tower, IT university, Lahore-Kasur Ring Road and Tokhar flyover projects which he said, were left incomplete by Pervaiz government in Punjab and later completed by the PML-N government.

He said Pervaiz through false claims in fact wanted to hoodwink the people but his trick would not work as the masses were aware of performance of both governments. He said transparency, quality and public interest were the hallmarks of the development projects of the PML-N government while the government of Pervaiz Elahi was tainted with corruption and inefficiency.  Sana said the PML-Q leaders had not learnt any lesson despite the fact that they were humiliated by the masses in the last elections.

He posed a query to Pervaiz that why he did not bother to watch the public interest during his tenure for which he was showing huge pains today? If he had anything worth recognition during his government, the masses would not have discarded the PML-Q in the last elections, he added.   The law minister said the whole world was applauding the Metro Bus project of Shahbaz Sharif terming it a big leap towards public service but this fact was not acknowledged by Pervaiz Elahi and he was criticising this project. He said the tremendous acceptance of this project by the people had shut mouths of the critics.
