SADIQABAD - A procession in connection with Eid MIladun Nabi (SAWW) was taken out under the aegis of Bazm-e-MIlad and Milad Committee here.  The rally started from Taj Chowk Bypass and culminated at the shrine of Hazrat Pir Jhatala where a seventh annual Milad congregation was held. It was presided over by Headmaster (r) Haji Muhammad Sharif.

The moot began with recitation of some verses from the Holy Quran by Hafiz Khan Muhammad while the Naat reciters included M Hashim, Jam Pehlwan, Qalandar Baksh, Hafiz Bilal Ahmad, Jam Sajid, Naveed Ali, M Siddiq, Kashif Ali and Shahid Mehmood.  On the occasion, Ashiq Hussain Chishti and Noor Muhammad Saeedi addressed the participants. Paying rich tributes to the Last and Final Messenger (SAWW), the speakers said that sending Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) to us is the greatest benevolence of Allah Almighty. With arrival of Huzoor-e-Akram (SAWW), darkness of ignorance disappeared from the world and everywhere got illuminated with light, they said.

They urged the Muslims to spread love of Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) by convening Mahafil-e-Milad. The congregation concluded with Darood-o-Salam.

Transformer stolen: A transformer installed at waste disposal unit in Habib Colony was stolen in the darkness of Wednesday night while the police are still unable to trace the perpetrators.  The new 25-KV transformer was installed some half a month ago at the disposal unit and it had not yet been connected with the grid station.

The local people have demanded early installation of new transformer and arrest of the outlaws.
