Prominent religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Umar Haidri has stressed the need for following the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH) to serve the humanity and create a peaceful society.

He was addressing a Seerat Conference held in connection Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) in Jamia Mosque Aqsa at Kashmir Chowk here the other day.

He said that Pakistan needed to play a leading role to unite Muslims otherwise history would never forgive us. He called upon Ulema to play their role for eradicating sectarianism and bring the country out of difficulties.

The ceremony was chaired by former Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) City Ameer Raja Haji Naib Muhammad while Sufi Ghulam Mustafa conducted the proceedings.

The ceremony was also addressed by Maulana Muhammad Usman Baig Farooqi, Qari Ghulam Fareed, Qazi Muhammad Khalid Akbar and Malik Muhammad Kausar and also participated by noted Naat Khawans Abdul Shakoor Rubani, Muhammad Azeem, Hafiz Muhammad Farooq and others.

A large number of people attended the conference.
