SHANGLA - Six policemen, including a Station House Officer were injured in twin blasts near police mobile van here on Thursday. 

According to police officials, the Bisham Police Station’s mobile van was patrolling the area when a loud remote controlled explosion occurred as it reached Chakesar area. Subsequently, four policemen, including SHO Sher Hussain Khan, sustained injuries.

Talking to The Nation, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Malakand division Abdullah Khan said the bomb was detonated through remote control. While other IED bomb was blasted in a chairlift near Dawoot Police Check Post, Chakesar and as a result two policemen Nisar and Khan Bahadur were injured. The injured persons were immediately shifted to a local hospital. Their condition was reported as out of danger. Meanwhile, police and security forces cordoned off the site of the incident and a search operation went underway to apprehend the criminals.

Later on, heavy quantity of arms and ammunition were also seized by the police during search operation in the area.
