LAHORE - Punjab government has presented the new budget according to the aspirations of the middle and poor class. These views were expressed by Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Ahmed in a press statement issued on Wednesday, he said the provincial government by giving priority to the sectors of education, health and development projects has won the hearts and minds of the masses. He, while praising the Punjab chief minister for presenting a pro-poor and tax-free budget said that Shahbaz Sharif by representing the public aspirations was completely fulfilling the principles of PML-Ns manifesto. Mashhood said chief minister by continuing the Sasti Roti Scheme had earned the goodwill of the masses, while the leaders and workers of PML-N would make this programme successful. The deputy speaker said 50 per cent raise in the salaries of the government employees would provide them relief from price-hike, while cutting the non-development funds of the government would help more assistance in the development programmes.
