LAHORE CDC Veterans beat Ideal Veterans by five wickets in a match played under flood lights at the RLCA Ground. CDC won the toss and put Ideal Veterans into bat. Ideal Veterans scored 149 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Skipper of Ideal Veterans Fawad Ijaz Khan again played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 60 runs in 48 balls with six fours. Babar Basharat scored 23 runs in 27 balls with 3 fours and former Test player Ejaz Fakih scored 21 runs in 19 balls with one six and one four. Shakir Sheikh took two wickets for 28 runs and Alamgir Ahmed, Ikramullah and Badar Ansari took one wicket each for 15,30 and 32 runs respectively. Batting second, CDC Veterans reached the winning target of 150 runs for the loss of five wickets on the second last ball of the match. Akram Khan scored a superb unbeaten innings of 66 runs in 55 balls with 2 sixes. For Ideal Veterans Tahir Nisar took 3 wickets for 29 runs and Fawad Ijaz Khan took one wicket for 26 runs. Akram Khan was declared man of the match.
