LAHORE For the first time in the history of Punjab University, girls karate classes has been launched by the Law College Assistant Registrar Sports Section Miss Auneeza Fatima. While presenting yellow belts to the girl students who had shown extra-ordinary performance in the karate classes here on Wednesday, she said that after having inspired by the Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharifs measures to provide exemplary opportunities of modern education to girl students, indoor games including karate, badminton, table tennis, aerobics have been started in the Punjab University for them. She said with the patronage and keen personal interest of PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran and Principal Law College Mohtarma Shazia Noureen Qureshi 70 per cent have been awarded yellow belts. She paid glowing tributes to the Khadm-e-Aala Punjab for his sincere endeavours to encourage girl students in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
