LAHORE Rawalpindis Young Rising Star, national champions in 2008, opened their campaign with a big win beating debutant Islamic Countries Society of Statistical Sciences (ISOSS) Club 5-0 in Group C of Third National Women Football Club Championship. Opportunist striker Sehar Zaman was the star performer at Islamabads OPF Ground H/8 with sparkling hat-trick. Sana Mehmood-led YRS got early start with nice deflection from top of the area from winger Malaika Noor in the fourth minute and it was left to Sehar to record hat-trick with goals in the 18th, 24th and 67th minute. Midfielder Nida Hashmi (60th min) was other scorer in complete rout. Meanwhile, Karachi Kickers were awarded 3-0 win over TCS FC who failed to turn up at NED Ground, University Road, Karachi. Earlier on Tuesday, Diya Club outclassed TCS Club 19-0 in Group-A match of the third National Women Football Club Championship at Aga Khan Gymkhana Ground, opposite Karachi Zoo, Jamshed Town, Karachi. The Group-B match between 2007 national champion Sport Sciences and Fatima Club ended 0-0 at Punjab University, Old Campus Ground, opposite MAO College, Lahore. Diyas huge win resulted due to double hat-tricks of striker Kirin and winger Hajra Khan. Both slammed seven goals. Kirin netted in the 8th, 22nd, 28th, 36th, 42nd, 53rd and 61st minute while Hajra pushed the ball into cage in the 24th, 30th, 38th, 40th, 50th, 59th and 68th minute Rukhsar (12th, 33rd) and Marium Laghari (20th,63rd) struck twice while Khadija netted in the 56th minute.
