ISLAMABAD : Chairman National Accountability Bureau Qamar Zaman Chaudhry has taken serious notice of delay in the verification of educational certificates of officers of Capital Development Authority. NAB in a statement said, as per media reports, verification of educational degrees of officials of CDA are facing delay and thus causing hurdles in the early verification of educational degrees of CDA officers under rules and as per the directions of Establishment Division, Cabinet Division and CAAD, Government of Pakistan time and again.

While taking notice of the alleged delay in verification of educational certificates of officials of CDA, chairman NAB has asked for a detailed report on the matter from chairman CDA at the earliest.

Earlier, CDA had decided to withhold salaries of the employees who failed to furnish their degrees for verification by end of current month. The decision was taken after NAB asked the CDA chairman to submit names of the defying officials.

 Only around 500 officers out of 2,000 had provided their degrees for verification while the rest were yet to submit the same.

The NAB authorities had asked CDA chairman to provide record of the degrees verified till end of August besides furnishing names of those who have failed to furnish their degrees for verification.
