Kandhkot - Love Sindh Rally was taken out here on Wednesday, under the banner of Qaumi Awami Tehreek (QAT), to protest against some ‘anti-Sindh’ projects. The rally, led by QAT Central President Advocate Ayaz Latif Palejo, started from City Park and finished in front of Main Primary School.

Hundreds of party workers, locals, social activists and a large number of journalists also participated in the rally.

The participants were shouting slogans against the projects such as Zulfiqarabad, dual governance system, alleged Muhajar province and looting of coal and gas resources of the province. Melodious and moving party songs were played on the occasion to enthrall the participants.

Party President Ayyaz Latif Palejo was flanked by central leadership, who were raising their hands to acknowledge the crowd’s enthusiasm. Ayyaz Latif Palejo and other party leaders said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttehida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML N) all were conspiring against Sindh. They particularly lashed out at MQM and PPP, and blamed the parties had joined hands to divide Sindh and to loot its resources.

“Even the PPP government sold two golden islands in the Arabian Sea, namely Dangi and Bundar to Bahria Town to develop a modern city,” the speakers said, and added, “The civilization of Sindh is rich, and it is 5,000 years old.”

Palejo termed the project of Zulfiqarabad an attempt to turn Sindhis into a minority in their own province.

He said that Sindh was already overburdened with Afghan refugees, who had been involved in ‘criminal activities’ and had made the gate way of Pakistan: Karachi a nursery of crimes.
